Calgary — that was something else.
From pre-race shakeouts to cheer station celebrations (and yes, plenty of post-run ramen), this city turned up the heat — literally and figuratively. Here’s how it all went down with the XACT crew at the 2025 Servus Calgary Marathon.
The Shakeouts
We got the legs moving early with three days of community shakeouts — each one with its own flavor.
Thursday night, we linked up with Strides Running and See You Soon Run Club for a community shakeout and cheer party that set the tone for the whole weekend.
Friday, the crew at State of the Art (SOTA) hosted their “My Mind Is Racing” event — a 3K social run with style. Bagels by Bagel Daze, fresh cuts from Foundation Barbershop, Ciele caps and custom gear drops. It was full-on curated runner culture.
Friday, YYC Run Crew and CrushCamp led a mellow 3K and 5K — followed by pizza, massages, race nails, and a vibe-heavy recovery zone. You couldn’t swing a foam roller without hitting a DJ booth or snack table.
The Expo Vibes
If you made it to GMC Stadium at Stampede Park, chances are you found us.
The XACT booth was bumping all weekend — we handed out fruit bars, shared fuelling tips, and teased some new flavors.
We saw familiar faces, new race shirts, and more than a few kids grabbing their “one last sample.”
Fuel, Friends & Full Volume Cheer Zones
On Saturday, we teamed up with YYC Run Crew to bring the hype to Memorial Drive for the 5K and 10K. DJ Charged Up delivered beats, the cheer squad brought lungs, and the runners lit up the course.
On Sunday, CrushCamp and XACT Nutrition took over East Village with the ultimate cheer lounge:
- Free coffee
- Live DJ
- Custom cheer signs
- More cowbells than strictly necessary
Race Highlights
From 5K sprinters to marathoners chasing the sunrise, our community showed up BIG.
PBs? Plenty. First-time finishes? Loads. Comebacks? Inspiring.
We saw the fits, the grit, and the glory — and we cheered every one across the line.
The After-Vibes
Calgary doesn’t just race — it celebrates.
Post-run spots like Galaxie Diner, Wakado Ramen, and Annex Ale Project were full of medals, waffle orders, and “did-you-see-me-at-Kilometre-19” storytelling.
Bonus love to The Dandy Brewing Company and Tailgunner Brewing for keeping the vibe alive well into the evening.
Moments That Stuck
We didn’t have an official photographer this time — but that didn’t stop the memories from sticking.
If you caught a great shot from race weekend, we’d love to see it. Whether it’s a blurry cheer zone moment or your medal selfie at brunch, it’s part of the story.
Tag us @xactnutrition and use #fuelyourgoals and #xactnutrition — we’re still reliving every mile.
Until Next Time, Calgary
You reminded us why we love this scene:
Big hearts. Big miles. Big community.
See you in 2026 — or somewhere out on the trail with a fruit bar in hand.
