Explorer. Ultra-distance runner. Storyteller. Ray Zahab has spent his life redefining what’s possible in some of the most extreme environments on Earth. From crossing the Sahara Desert on foot to setting a speed record in Antarctica, Ray’s adventures are driven by resilience, curiosity, and a deep passion for inspiring others.

A cancer survivor and founder of impossible2Possible, Ray uses adventure as a way to connect with young people around the world and teach them about perseverance, leadership, and the power of dreaming big.

Today, Ray balances life as an explorer, speaker, author, and proud father — always searching for the next horizon.

Biggest Expeditions:

  • Ran 7,500 km across the Sahara Desert in 111 days
  • Completed a 2,000 km solo expedition across Mongolia and the Gobi Desert
  • Recently completed a self-supported crossing of Chile’s Atacama Desert before attempting Ojos del Salado, the world’s highest volcano

Favorite Meal : After long expeditions, nothing beats a huge plate of pasta.

Fun Fact: Before becoming an explorer and ultra-runner, Ray was a pack-a-day smoker who completely transformed his life through running and adventure.
