Helene Dumais, endurance athlete, adventurer, coach and conference speaker, tells us about her season and the changes she has made. While some of the short term goals have been forced to the side, her eyes are still set on the Snowman Race at the end of the year, a 300 km race through the Himalayas, with mountain passes as a high as 5470m!
On August 12, I left for my first official ultra-trail. I had had set the bar pretty high for myself considering that I was starting with a 100 miles and you could say that I fell short. Did I succeed? No. Did I learn? Absolutely!
